Solidarity with the Magnera Newtech pulp workers of Baloi, Lanao del Norte, Philippine
On March 6, 2026, ninety-five workers at Newtech Pulp, Inc. (NPI) in Baloi, Lanao del Norte, Philippines, went on a joint strike, the first strike in the plant's 35-year history. They are demanding fair wages from Magnera, a North Carolina, U.S.A-based multinational corporation operating 50+ facilities worldwide.
