For Papuan women, nurturing seeds is part of a long journey of healing wounds. This was experienced by Mama Awin Keti. She is a survivor of the 1998 Biak Massacre. The painful experience she endured is expressed through the practice of planting food crops, such as upland rice seeds and millet.
