Statement (international): For the life and dignity of the people of Iran
Statement from groups, collectives, and individuals, from different corners of the world, expressing resistance and rebellion.

FOR THE LIFE AND DIGNITY OF THE PEOPLE OF IRAN
We are living through a storm. It is neither new nor fleeting. It is the storm of capitalism, imperialism, patriarchy, and states that administer death while speaking of order, stability, and security. In this storm, those at the top fight over territories, resources, and power; those at the (…)

On the emerging “new order” in the Middle East - Israel refrained from intervening in Syria to avoid irritating Trump
Lebanese socialist academic and thinker Gilbert Achcar spoke to bianet about the attacks targeting Syrian Kurds, the emerging “new order” in the Middle East, and the roles of the US, Turkey, and Israel in this new framework.
A final agreement on military and administrative integration was reached on Jan 30 between the Syrian Interim Government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The agreement includes provisions for a ceasefire, the gradual unification of military and administrative (…)

Bangladesh: The Mask of Change Is Slipping: Jamaat-e-Islami and the Reality of Violence After the July Uprising
“The idea that Jamaat-e-Islami has transformed since the July uprising has not withstood the harsh test of reality. The killings, rapes, and sexual violence of the past year and a half have made it painfully clear: ideologically, Jamaat remains where it always was.”
After the July uprising, a wave of political turbulence swept through Bangladesh. One significant aspect of this moment was the widespread discussion about a possible “transformation” within Jamaat-e-Islami. A political force (…)

Syria new electricity tariffs are cruel neoliberal shock therapy
Syria's soaring electricity prices are deepening daily hardship and exposing how the government's economic strategy is failing the masses, writes Joseph Daher.

United States: National Protests Continue Against ICE and Trump
President Donald Trump continues ICE raids, arrests of journalists, and seizing election records, as the public turns against him. All of this is about the mid-term election in November, which Republicans could lose.

‘Wet tent syndrome' is killing Gaza's infants
Israel's restrictions on shelter and medicine have left displaced families helpless as newborns succumb to exposure and preventable disease.

West Bank: Inside a coordinated, multi-village settler-soldier pogrom in Masafer Yatta
As settlers set homes ablaze and looted livestock across three villages for over five hours, Israeli soldiers blocked ambulances, arrested victims, and even took part in beatings. This is how it unfolded.
On the evening of Jan. 27, Israeli settlers launched one of the most devastating pogroms on the Palestinian communities of Masafer Yatta in recent memory, attacking three villages simultaneously with what appeared to be an unprecedented level of coordination with the Israeli army. (…)

Campists React to Iran Protests With Usual Dehumanization of Non-Western Struggles
WITH THE PROTESTS that have broken out in Iran, one has seen all-too-typical reactions from those often referred to as tankies or campists. With the emergence of protests against an autocratic, theocratic regime that has positioned itself in opposition to the US, tankies and campists have been quick to denounce the protests as a US-orchestrated “color revolution.” Indeed, if the Trump administration carries out airstrikes or some other form of military intervention directed at the Iranian (…)

Serbia: Regime Crisis, Imperialist Dependence and Struggles for Self-Determination
Since the collapse of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s, Serbia has been going through a permanent structural crisis. The destruction of the Yugoslav state not only produced new nation-states: it paved the way for accelerated capitalist development, imposed under imperialist pressure, which profoundly reconfigured class relations in the region.
Inserted into the capitalist world economy, Serbia is in a typical position of a semi-peripheral country. Its strategic geographical position in the (…)

United States - Democrats: The Rise and Fall of the Conglomerate Party of the Center
Today's Democratic Party has no recognized leaders, no coherent program to address today's multiplying problems, never had actual members, depends on the kindness of well-to-do donors, has, despite significant gains in a handful of elections in 2025, lost working-class voters of all races, and is stuck in the status quo. Many of its own advisers, officials, candidates, and office holders describe it as chaotic, leaderless, its brand “toxic,” and its broader message muddled. Voters, even (…)

United States: Resistance to Trump Grows — Mass Marches, Local Rebellions, Electoral Victories
Resistance to President Donald Trump is growing, taking the form of massive, peaceful protest marches, small local rebellions against ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), Democratic Party election victories, and a gradually changing public opinion. One could even talk about a growing class consciousness. The growth of the resistance comes in reaction to Trump's attacks on public services, on higher education, on freedom of speech, on public employees and their unions, and the cruelty (…)

Rojava's Existence Under Threat – Solidarity Urgently Needed
The radical and democratic experiment of Rojava has been confronted for several weeks with a new military offensive led by the Syrian Transitional Government (STG), supported by Turkey, and is now threatened in its very existence.
Rojava, sometimes also called the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), emerged from the 2011 uprising against the brutal and repressive regime of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and the withdrawal and concentration of his troops in western (…)
