In 2024, 170 women have been murdered in Kenya, revealing a growing wave of femicides in the country. While an unprecedented mobilization of the civil society raises awarness, the killings continue. Despite official statements by the authorities, activists denounce the lack of political commitment and judicial delays.

On November 1^st 2024, the exhibition Akhir Faysal - Faysal Last Stop opened at the French Institute in Cairo. This exhibition is the result of a year-long collective research process initiated in January 2024, developed through a collaboration between CEDEJ-Khartoum and the University of Padua. The project engaged a group of fourteen Sudanese women who arrived in Egypt in the aftermath of the war that erupted in Sudan two years ago.
